No one is perfect, that is for certain, but lies can really damage the foundation of a relationship, because they destroy trust. Sadly, most lies that occur in a relationship, are because someone is cheating. If you want to finally know the truth, and be able to catch a lie fast, then I suggest you use these 3 ways to tell if your spouse is lying to you...
1. They do not look you in the eyes when talking to you. This is a huge sign that someone is lying, because they feel ashamed and are scared to be caught, your partner will not give proper eye contact. As well, he/she will seem very uncomfortable and will touch his/her face a lot while talking to you. Places to watch for especially include, touching/scratching his/her eyebrows or chin.
2. He/she changes the subject when you ask them about it- Your partner may directly change the subject in a rude manner, and tell you they do not want to talk about it, or your partner try to be sneaky by talking about what is on TV etc to distract you instead. Whatever the case is, changing the subject is always a sign that your partner is lying to you, and especially is a sign that your spouse is cheating on you, if they do this when asked about things related to cheating.
3. Your spouse will argue with you, or act highly defensive. You may even notice your lover saying things like "how can you say that? You know I wouldn't do anything like that" or "You obviously don't trust me as much as I trust you", just to turn the argument on you and make you feel guilty instead. You will also find that he/she is very defensive even for the most simple questions, and that is simply because he/she feels guilty.
